Professional upholstery and mattress cleaning for all fabrics
Synthetic & Mixed
We strongly recommend the Hot Water Extraction method (also known as Steam Cleaning) for the majority of upholsteries that can be submitted to wet cleaning. It is the most effective method on the market and if this can't remove a stain, nothing will! This technique is also used in our mattress cleaning service.
Delicate/Natural Fibre & Leather
There are of course those exceptions that can't be wet-cleaned. However, we can offer a variety of other refreshing alternatives. Once on site, your technician will determine the most suitable fabric cleaning method for your items.
Rarely people realise that their mattresses need some form of maintenance as well. With time, they accumulate a considerable amount of dust and are surely crawling with those microscopic bugs called dust mites. For the purpose of refreshing your mattress, we can apply hot water extraction which is quite effective as it deals very well with accumulated dirt and many types of household stains. The downside is that mattresses take a bit longer to air-dry on their own but the technician can provide you with a free air mover so you won't need to about that. On the other hand, the specialist can use a special UV light to eliminate the dust mites. If you’d like this treatment instead, please make sure to notify us in advance so that the expert can bring the proper equipment.
An in-depth look at the methods we use
Pretreatment of Stains
The technician can determine the type of stain and apply the most suitable detergent. He brings a variety of detergents that are specialised for removal of certain stains – coffee, greasy food, wine, you name it. However, keep in mind that there are some stains that permanently damage the fabric and can't be removed, for instance hair dye or water marks. It’s important not to attempt to clean a stain on your own as this can drive it even deeper into the fabric and make it impossible to clean.
Hot Water Extraction
We've set it as a standard for quality. It is the most effective upholstery cleaning method to date. Here is how it works: after the initial pre-treatment of the fabric a high-end professional machine is used to inject hot water deep between the fibre. This effectively dislodges the accumulated grime and dust. However, the nozzle has a suction attachment that almost simultaneously removes about 95% of the moisture from fabric (along with any dislodged dirt). This way you are left with a perfectly cleaned and deodorised upholstery that will air dry on its own in a few hours.
Dry Solvent Cleaning
The detergent used for this procedure does not contain and does not require the use of water at all. It is specifically designed to connect with dirt on a microscopic level, but it does not affect the fabric in any way, thus there is no chance of damaging it. Once properly applied, the detergent is then removed with a vacuum cleaner, which also effectively rids the treated upholstery of any residing dirt.
Dry Foam Cleaning
Low moisture detergent is applied on the fabric after the pretreatment. It is rubbed in with a rotating brush, which is absolutely safe for the fabric. At the end, the foam is vacuumed off and you are left with a well-refreshed upholstery.
The leather upholstery cleaning is done with professional detergents, which are carefully applied using cotton cloths and wiped away afterwards. However, if the leather has been stained with something, there is a good chance that the damage is permanent.
Even more extras
Free Air Mover
Your technician will bring an air mover that will be situated near the cleaned sofa (or any other upholstered item) for the duration of the sofa cleaning. This will significantly speed up the drying process.
If you wish to prolong the life of your upholstered items and protect them from stains, then the technician can treat your freshly cleaned upholstery with a well-known stain repellent.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How much time will it take for the upholstery/mattress to dry off?
A: Usually, it takes from 4 to 8 hours for most types of upholstery. However, mattresses take a little bit longer – between 12 to 24 hours. Of course, a lot depends on the room temperature and the air flow. Upon your request, your technician can place an air mover near the piece to speed up the drying process.
Q: What if the upholstery is damaged during the cleaning procedure?
A: The chance of something like this happening is very slim. However, in case an accident occurs, keep in mind that this upholstered furniture cleaning service is 100% insured and you will be completely compensated.
Q: What are your work hours?
A: Our services are available all week long, from 8am to 5pm, and even the weekends and bank holidays are fine. We're quite flexible, so evening appointments can be arranged as well, but keep in mind that some of the equipment is quite noisy and it can be a bit disturbing for your neighbours.
Q: Do you use chemicals for the cleaning?
A: The detergents used in the service are perfectly safe for your household. But in case you are sensitive to certain chemicals, then please warn us in advance so that we can provide you with a suitable alternative.
Q: What areas do you cover?
A: Our coverage includes pretty much all of London – everything within the M25 zone and the rest of South East England. Our services are also available in Guildford, Hemel Hempstead, Reading, and Oxford. If you are not sure about your area, just contact us.
Q: What about parking fees?
A: The price you will be quoted for your service does not include parking and congestion charges so we kindly ask you to take care of them or, if possible, ensure there will be a free parking space near your property before the service takes place.
