Our Landlord-Approved End of Tenancy Cleaning Checklist

Kitchen

• Oven: Clean inside and out, including door, panels, racks, and trays.
• Hob & grill: Remove grease and polish for a spotless finish.
• Extractor fan & hood: Thoroughly degrease and clean.
• Fridge/Freezer: Clean compartments and shelves, wipe handles and seals, remove mildew, and clean the exterior casing.
• Dishwasher: Clean inside and out, including filters, detergent dispenser, and remove food deposits.
• Washing machine & tumble dryer: Clean inside and out, including drum, rubber seal, soap drawer, and mesh filters.
• Microwave: Remove greasy stains from interior and exterior.
• Sink: Descale and polish the bowl, remove food debris around the drain.
• Cupboards/shelves/drawers: Clean inside and out, including the top areas.
• Splashback: Clean to remove stains and splatters.
• Floors: Hoover and mop all floors.
• Light furniture: Clean underneath to remove hidden dust and dirt.
• Windows: Clean inside for a streak-free shine.
• Switches, sockets, skirting boards: Clean thoroughly.

Note: Fridge/freezer must be defrosted in advance.

Bathroom and Toilet

• Shower cubicle & bathtub: Descale tub and tray, remove soap scum, clean shower screen, polish taps and fittings, clear drains.
• Toilet & bidet: Remove limescale, clean under the rim, clean hinges, and polish seat, taps, and cistern.
• Sink & vanity cupboard: Descale and polish sink bowl, taps, clean drainage, wipe inside and out of the vanity cupboard.
• Towel rail & pipework: Wipe where accessible.
• Mirrors & glass surfaces: Clean and polish for a streak-free finish.
• Tiled walls: Clean soap scum and dirt, dry tiles after cleaning.
• Air vents: Remove dust.
• Floors: Mop for a sticky-free finish.
• Switches, sockets, skirting boards: Clean thoroughly.

Living room & common areas

• Doors: Clean doors, frames, and handles.
• Furniture: Wipe and polish tables, chairs; hoover upholstery and cushions, including under sofa seats.
• Windows: Clean internal glazing, frames, and sills.
• Mirrors & picture frames: Dust thoroughly.
• Fireplace: Wipe and dust the casing and surrounding area.
• Curtains & blinds: Hoover both sides of curtains, dust curtain rail and venetian blinds.
• Cobwebs: Remove.
• Air vents: Wipe exterior vents.
• Floors: Hoover and mop hard floors.
• Carpets & rugs: Deep vacuuming.
• Switches, sockets, skirting boards: Clean thoroughly.

Bedrooms

• Bed, frame, & headboard: Wipe and clean.
• Mattress: Hoover one side and under the bed were reachable.
• Wardrobes, nightstands, shelving: Wipe and polish.
• Windows: Clean internal glazing, frames, and sills.
• Mirrors & picture frames: Wipe and polish.
• Light fittings & shades: Dust.
• Doors, handles, & frames: Clean thoroughly.
• Curtains & blinds: Hoover both sides of curtains, dust curtain rail, and venetian blinds.
• Cobwebs: Remove.
• Radiators: Dust.
• Air vents: Wipe exterior vents.
• Floors: Hoover and mop hard floors.
